privacy

This policy covers the native Fiotime app, not website visitor processing.

Effective date: 16 October 2026
Developer: Marijke ter Pelle (Project Fiore)
Privacy contact: support@projectfiore.com

Fiotime is a visual timer for iPhone with an optional Apple Watch companion. No account is required.

Information in the app

Fiotime does not send personal information, timer activity, or device motion readings to the developer. The app contains no advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs and uses no developer-operated server.

Your timer presets, custom color palettes, and preferences are stored on your device. The Watch companion also stores the latest timer state it receives so that it can display the timer.

Motion input

When liquid tilt is enabled, Fiotime uses device motion information to position the liquid on screen. Motion readings are used locally and are not retained as a motion history or sent to the developer. You can turn this feature off in Fiotime’s settings.

Apple Watch and Live Activities

When Watch mirroring is enabled, Fiotime sends timer information, such as the duration, end time, pause state, and selected colors, to your paired Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity service. Live Activities share the timer display state with Apple’s system surfaces, such as the Lock Screen and, where supported and enabled, the Watch Smart Stack. These features do not send timer information to the developer.

Notifications

If you choose a completion sound, Fiotime may request notification permission so it can schedule a local timer-completion alert. These are local notifications, not alerts sent from a developer-operated server. You can change notification permission in your device’s Settings.

Retention and deletion

Preferences and saved Watch display state remain in local app storage until changed or the relevant app’s local data is removed. Removing Fiotime from iPhone and Apple Watch removes their respective local app data, subject to any device backups managed by Apple. Offloading an app may keep its local data. The developer cannot access or delete these local settings remotely.

If you contact support

If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your request and handle related support. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information. Support correspondence is retained only for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry, provide related follow-up, or meet applicable legal obligations. We delete correspondence when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Apple iCloud Mail processes correspondence to deliver the support service. Where applicable, you can contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your support correspondence.

Apple services

Apple may process information under its own privacy policies when you use the App Store, device backups, diagnostics, and system services. This policy describes Fiotime’s handling of information, not Apple’s separate practices.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy if Fiotime’s data practices change. Questions about privacy can be sent to support@projectfiore.com.
